I'm considering purchasing a used 4070 Super and the seller has offered to let me inspect it before making a decision. What essential aspects should I evaluate to ensure I'm making a safe purchase? Are there specific tests I should run or red flags to watch out for?

What's the asking price for this 4070 Super? Just to get a sense of whether it's a fair deal or not.
If the seller lets you, try installing the GPU in a PC and run a couple of tests like Furmark or Time Spy for about 15 minutes. Also, double-check it in Windows through Device Manager or Task Manager to confirm it’s functioning correctly. This is the best way to ensure it’s working as it should.
I recommend bringing a flash drive with the Superposition stress test on it. If the seller is cool with it, run that test and keep an eye on the temperatures. Make sure to check for any artifacts during the test. If the seller doesn’t allow it, I’d honestly think about walking away.
Superposition is my go-to too! I usually run it a couple of times in a row using the 1080p Extreme preset while monitoring the temps. For a 4070 Super, the score should be around 11,500 to 12,000, depending on the CPU.

It’s listed for about $520, but be aware that here a new 5070 is priced around $690. Buying one new directly from Amazon would cost around $630.
