I'm really frustrated with an issue I'm having with my Microsoft account. After getting hacked a few months ago, I managed to recover my account. However, there's still a problem: my account is linked to a random email address (like j4****@gmail.com). Whenever I try to log into Minecraft, it asks me to verify the email, but the verification code keeps going to that hacker's email. I've changed my password multiple times and can log in online, but the Minecraft launcher insists on sending the verification code to the wrong email.
I've reached out to Microsoft support, but their AI just keeps looping me back to the same spots. I'm really stuck now and would appreciate any help or tips from those who might have experienced this issue before. Thanks!

Contacting support can be tricky, but it's usually your best bet. Make sure to reach out through the official Microsoft support channels. If the AI system isn’t helping, try looking for contact options that allow you to speak directly with a representative. Just be persistent; they should be able to guide you through removing that email!
You should definitely check your Microsoft account settings online. Try logging in and updating your sign-in and verification methods. Microsoft accounts can have multiple email aliases, so make sure only your own email is listed. Remove that hacker's email from the verification methods and delete it. Also, consider enabling two-factor authentication if you haven't already—it adds an extra layer of security!
I attempted this, but the hacker's email isn't showing up in my account settings.

It sounds frustrating! Just keep pushing for a live person on the support line; it can make all the difference.
