I'm managing around 2500-3000 devices, mainly MFF desktops, and I'm facing ongoing issues with computers freezing and overheating after rebooting during patch days. This problem seems to affect various models, including HP, Dell, and Lenovo. Has anyone experienced similar issues, or does anyone know of settings or solutions that could help prevent this in the future?

In my experience, Windows updates can be CPU-intensive, but I've never encountered actual overheating issues. Are you using any antivirus? It could potentially be the culprit for the overheating.
What antivirus or endpoint detection and response platform are you using? It might be worth looking into that, as it could be contributing to the overheating during updates.
That doesn't sound normal at all! Have you checked if any of these systems are overclocked? Usually, that could lead to problems like this.
Nope, all the systems are running with standard BIOS settings.
I don't want to sound rude, but overheating like this isn't typical. Even during stress tests, business PCs usually handle the load without overheating. It might be good to down-clock your systems a bit, just to be safe.

The overheating happens after the PC restarts during updates. If I unplug it and let it cool, it resumes updates and boots up fine afterward.
