I'm putting together my first gaming PC and I'm curious about my choices. Here's a list of the components I've selected:
- MSI Pro B850-S WIFI6E
- Kingston KC3000 M.2 NVMe SSD Gen 4 2048GB
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 38MB
- Crucial Pro OC 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000 MHz CL36
- be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2
- ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 12GB Dual OC
- Chieftec EON 700W
- Zalman I3 Neo Svart
Are these parts good enough, especially for gaming?

The MSI B850 WIFI6E models? I’d steer clear of those. You're better off with a B650 since they offer similar specs for potentially less money. And about the power supply, be careful. The Chieftec EON 700W is listed as Tier E, which isn't great. Don’t compromise on the PSU; it’s crucial for keeping your components safe!
You might want to check brands like EVGA or Seasonic for reliable options.
Your build isn’t bad overall. If you can find RAM with CL30 timing, that's a big plus. Also, think about swapping the RTX 5070 for a Radeon RX 9060XT if you can; it might offer better performance based on your choices.
First off, what do you mean by "good"? Are you thinking about average performance? Because if you're looking to play demanding games both now and in the future, these parts aren't necessarily the best you can get. The MSI B850 board has mixed reviews, and it's definitely worth considering a B650 instead.
Got it, so something like a B650 would actually be a better bet? Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the advice! Any recommendations for a solid power supply?
