I'm looking to build a new gaming PC specifically for playing Deadlock. The last time I put together a machine was around the time Apex Legends launched, and honestly, my current setup is outdated. I'm running a GTX 970, an older i5 processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a small SSD, and an additional large storage drive.
I'm not focused on maxing out graphics settings; in fact, I prefer performance-enhancing and visual decluttering options in my games. However, I want to ensure I can achieve a consistently high FPS at 1080p for Deadlock, as it's a movement shooter that I'm really enjoying.
Could you suggest builds at various price points of $1k, $1.5k, and $2k? I'm open to full-sized builds. I have my own peripherals and a decent 120Hz monitor, but I'd also consider upgrading for better latency and motion clarity. Ultimately, I want performance above all else—no concern for aesthetics, color coordination, or extra features. Thanks!

If you're near a Micro Center, you might want to check them out for some good deals on components. They often have bundles or discounts on CPUs and motherboards that could help you stick to your budget!
Definitely check the game's PC requirements, but keep in mind they're still tweaking things since the game is in development. For a solid build, I’d suggest going for something like an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X paired with an RTX 3060 or a GTX 1660 Super. This should get you the performance you're seeking without breaking the bank.
Yeah, and with optimization changes, having a flexible build will help you adapt down the line. Also, consider adding more RAM if you can swing it; 16GB is becoming the norm for gaming.

Unfortunately, the closest Micro Center to me is about 3 hours away, so I might need to look online for parts.
