Need Advice on Motherboard, PSU, and NVMe Options for My Build

I've finalized my parts list after a lot of research, but I still have some doubts. I'm wondering if I could cut costs by going for a B850 chipset motherboard instead of a pricier option. I don't need the top-tier boards; I just want one that pairs well with my CPU and can provide PCIe 5.0 for both my GPU and the 9100 Pro, plus another PCIe 4.0 slot for a 980 that the Tomahawk supports.

Additionally, is an 850W PSU sufficient for my setup? Lastly, I'm contemplating whether to buy the 9100 with a heatsink or if I can just use the motherboard's NVMe heatsink since the non-heatsink version is a lot cheaper. Any tips?

Honestly, I think your build is a bit off. The LF3 has some mounting issues and isn’t great for the price, so you might want to look for a better AIO cooler. I went with the X870 and some solid RAM that didn’t break the bank. Also, consider switching to the 9070 XT for better performance; the price difference is worth it. If you’re not stuck on PCIe 5.0, you could save some money by getting a Gen 4 NVMe drive instead, as the speed difference won’t be noticeable for most tasks.

There’s a ton of info out there about motherboard features, which may help you out. You can learn the differences between chipsets and what features they offer by checking out some reviews. The key is to know what you want—like PCIe 5.0 slots, USB4, etc.—and then find a motherboard that has those features. For your NVMe drive, some motherboards come with heatsinks for the M.2 slots. Make sure you check if your chosen motherboard has one, so you don’t order a heatsink that you won’t need.
