I'm considering upgrading my current graphics card, which is a 4060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM. I'm deciding between the 5070 and the 5070 Ti, but there's a $400 CAD price difference. Will I really notice a significant performance improvement by going for the 5070 Ti?

It really depends on how you're using all that VRAM. I just got a 5070 for around $480 USD and I'm happy with it. If you're pushing 1440p or 4K gaming, it's definitely an option!
5070 is good, 5070 Ti is great. But if you're considering the future, think about the 5080 too. Just be cautious; its performance boost over the 5070 Ti is pretty minimal and it’s priced high!
Yeah, that 5080 isn't really worth it. The price jump is just too much for a tiny performance gain.
I'm using a 5070 for gaming at both 1440p and 4K, and I'm super happy with it. The FPS difference between the 5070 and 5070 Ti is about 15-20 FPS in most games. Down the road, you might have to tweak your settings quicker on the 5070, but for now, my Steam library runs like a dream with it! Personally, I wouldn’t spend the extra $400 unless you have specific needs or want to keep ultra settings longer before shifting to high or medium settings in some games.
If you can swing it, I’d go for the 5070 Ti. I think it's worth it in the long run!
But is the $400 difference really justified?
Long term, you might miss that extra 12 GB of VRAM in the 5070, but the choice is yours. Also, don’t forget to check out the 9070 XT, it could be a solid option.

I feel you! I just got one too!
