iCloud Issues on MacBook and iPhone

I'm using a MacBook M1 Pro and an iPhone 6s, and I'm having trouble with iCloud. I added an iPhone 5c for extra verification codes, but after removing it, my iPhone 6s keeps asking for both my iCloud and Mac passwords. It accepts the first two steps of the login process, but it always says the password is wrong on the third step, even though I know it's correct. I'm stuck waiting for a cooldown or trying to reset my encrypted data, and I just need a solution!

I had a similar problem before. It worked for me when I deleted my account from the iCloud settings and then added it back again. Be careful with your encrypted data though—make sure you back up anything important before trying that!

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation! It might help to log out of iCloud on your devices and then log back in. Make sure to check if your software is up to date, too, since sometimes bugs can cause these password issues. Also, if you haven’t already, try resetting your iCloud password—just in case there’s an issue hidden there.
