I'm trying to install a Spartan 5 120mm cooler on my ASRock B550M-HDV motherboard, but it doesn't seem to fit properly. It looks too wide for the AM4 socket. Has anyone else run into this issue or know what the problem might be? Any tips would be appreciated!

Have you checked page 2 of the manual? It might have some important installation notes or dimensions that could explain the fit issue. Sometimes the cooler compatibility isn't as straightforward as it seems!
Are you referring to the motherboard or the cooler manual? Sometimes the cooler can extend too far into the motherboard's layout.
