I'm trying to figure out how to unblock some apps on my Samsung Galaxy phone that my dad blocked using parental controls. I've had my Google account for about 7 or 8 years, and it's really important to my phone's setup. Since he set these restrictions when I was younger, I can't access apps like Facebook and Spotify now that I want to use them. I updated my Google account for more freedoms, but the parental controls are still in place. They keep prompting me for my dad's email password, which I can't provide because I've cut off all contact with him for personal reasons. Any advice on what I can do?

If you decide to keep your current phone, back up your data and then factory reset it. This way, you can set it up fresh without the parental controls, but just remember that this erases everything, so make sure you’ve saved anything important first!
If that situation is tough and he might still have access to your phone, consider buying a new device. It can give you peace of mind, and there are budget-friendly options like the Samsung A17 5G or A56 that you could check out on sites like Amazon or Uswitch.
Unfortunately, without your dad's approval, you're pretty limited in what you can do. One option is to unlink your phone from his account, but that would typically require his permission too. You might want to look into resetting the phone or setting it up as a new device if you're open to that.
