My New Laptop Isn’t Detecting WiFi – Help Needed!

I recently purchased a Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 laptop and installed Windows. During the setup, I realized I couldn't find any WiFi connection options. I managed to bypass the initial internet connection step using CMD, but now I'm unable to connect to any WiFi network. I've tried several troubleshooting methods: enabling WiFi in BIOS, installing the appropriate drivers, adjusting settings in services, troubleshooting through the Windows settings, and checking for the network adapter in the control panel. However, nothing appears in the device manager. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do next?

Just to clarify, did you do a fresh install of Windows from the start? If that’s the case, you definitely need all the relevant drivers from the manufacturer’s site, especially for the chipset and network adapters. If Device Manager isn’t showing the WiFi adapter or any unknown devices, that might indicate a hardware issue. It’s possible the WiFi module is either incorrectly seated or completely absent.

According to the specs, your laptop should have WiFi 6 capability. If it’s not showing up, it could just be a driver issue. Since it's a new purchase, contacting customer support might be a smart move. You could also consider returning it if the WiFi card is faulty.

It looks like you've covered a lot of ground in troubleshooting. If you really need a quick fix, trying a USB WiFi dongle could be a good temporary workaround to get you online without further hassle.

You might be dealing with one of two Wi-Fi cards: Intel or Realtek. Check your laptop's hardware ID in Device Manager to figure out which one you have. If the auto-update doesn't work, you could try extracting the driver files and updating manually.

You have a few routes you can take to fix this:

1) Network port patch - connect your laptop to your router using a LAN cable to establish an internet connection.

2) Check for missing drivers with Snipy Drivers - it could help install what you need.

3) Use a bootable USB drive with a strelec ISO to deploy necessary drivers.

4) A WiFi dongle could also bridge the gap until you figure out the internal issue.
