I'm using a 1080p monitor for both my PC and PlayStation console. When I play games on my PS5, they look sharp and beautiful at 1080p. However, the same game on my PC, even when it's running on Ultra settings, doesn't look anywhere near as good. Why is there such a big difference in quality between the two?

Another possibility is that the PS5 might be running at a higher pixel density before it downscales to 1080p. It's worth checking all your display settings on the PC to ensure everything is optimized!
It seems like your PC might not be set up to take full advantage of your monitor. Make sure your game settings are cranked up to max and check if any upscaling features like FSR or DLSS are enabled. Sometimes the settings can make a big difference in clarity! Didn't you mention your monitor is 1080p? That does limit the output too, but maximizing your settings is important.
