Is it possible to overclock a GTX 1050 without boosting power consumption?

I have an Aspire XC-780 with a 180W power supply. I'm wondering if I can overclock my GTX 1050 without increasing its wattage. Also, which is better: a GTX 1050 Ti that's undervolted or a GTX 1050 running at full power? Should I consider getting a GTX 1050 Ti and undervolting my setup instead?

Honestly, overclocking a GTX 1050 probably won’t give you much of a difference. If you can’t swap out your PSU for something more robust, it's probably a good idea to consider a different card like the RX 580, which could give you a better overall experience without the hassles of overclocking.

With a 180W PSU, overclocking might not give you the performance boost you're hoping for. Overclocking increases power draw, which can lead to stability issues, especially with such a low wattage power supply. I recommend either upgrading your PSU if possible or looking at different GPU options that might fit better with your system.

Yeah, you might be hitting a wall with that PSU. It could be better to save up for a more powerful power supply and a better GPU.
