I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 7 5700 and the 5800X. The 5700 comes with the Wraith Spire cooler for €140, but I'm not sure if that cooler is sufficient. On the other hand, the 5800X is available for €160, but I'd need to purchase a third-party cooler, which would bump up the costs. Is the upgrade to the 5800X worth it, or should I stick with the 5700? What are your thoughts?

Honestly, if you’re just looking at those two options, I doubt the performance difference is worth the extra cash for the 5800X, especially factoring in the cooler costs. However, the 5800X does have extra cache, which can help in some scenarios. If you’re gaming, consider whether a 5600X would be a good choice instead, as that might give you better value.
Thanks for the tips! I’m leaning towards the 5600 now for around €100.
Avoid the 5700; it's built on a different architecture. Go for either the 5700X or the 5800X for just an extra €20. The cache difference is significant, making the other CPUs a much smarter buy.
Yeah, I get the appeal of the 5700’s price, but the performance trade-off isn’t worth it in the long run.
Interesting point! The 5700X3D is also worth considering if the price is right; I’ve seen it for around $275 in the US.
Totally agree! The 5700 has 16MB cache compared to 32MB on the 5800X. I'd rather save those €20 for a better opportunity, like the 5600.
