I'm new to building PCs and tried using PC Part Picker to assemble a gaming rig. I'm curious if this setup will handle modern games efficiently. I used some insights from ChatGPT to understand the critical specs for each component, but I know I need to choose a better power supply. Here's the link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s6nnZc

From what I've seen, there are a few concerns with your build. The Ryzen 8000 series CPUs are pricey and don't perform as well as the 7000 or 9000 series when using a separate GPU. Plus, those F versions lack integrated graphics, making them a poor choice. I'd suggest opting for a 9600X, as it gives better performance for less. For RAM, stick with 2 sticks instead of 4 because more modules can complicate things and hurt performance. You can find better components at a similar price point that will boost your gaming experience. Let me know if you want some specific part recommendations!

Thanks for the advice! I didn't realize that using four RAM sticks could be problematic. I'll definitely consider switching to just two sticks. I'm all about getting the most bang for my buck!

I wouldn't choose an 8000 series CPU for your build. The Ryzen 7600X or 9600X would be better for performance, especially since the 8000 series CPUs have significantly less L3 cache, which is crucial for gaming. Stick with two 32GB RAM sticks instead of four 16GB to avoid potential issues with speed and stability. With a decent GPU upgrade, you should be able to handle most AAA games at good settings, even at 1080p. Don't be afraid to share any more questions you have!

Thanks for your detailed input! I’ll definitely consider different CPU options. I think I can manage with two 32GB sticks for now and save some cash until I need an upgrade. I mostly play FPS games, so I want a solid experience.

Your build has several issues, especially for the price. The 8000 series CPUs just aren't worth it; I'd definitely steer clear of those. The cooler is overpriced compared to similar options that perform just as well. Also, using four RAM sticks with DDR5 can lead to problems. I'd recommend focusing on getting a much better GPU; for this budget, aiming for something in the 5070 or 9070XT range would really enhance your gaming experience. Let me know if you want suggestions on finding a good GPU!

I appreciate the feedback! Unfortunately, I'm on a tighter budget, but I'm looking into your GPU suggestions. You'll also help me find a more effective cooler. Thanks for the tips!
