I've got a laptop with 16GB of RAM, but even when I hardly open any programs, about 50% seems to be in use. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my device? Just to provide some context, I have an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card. I noticed this after upgrading, and I'm wondering if there's a reason for this high RAM usage.

It sounds like a BIOS setting might be affecting your RAM usage. Your CPU has integrated graphics, which can take up some memory as video RAM. If you can access your BIOS, try adjusting the video memory settings since you have a dedicated graphics card now. This could help free up some RAM.

How do I check and change that in the BIOS?
