I'm looking for the best value GPU to pair with my Ryzen 7 7700 for a 1440p build. Here are the cheapest options I can find in my area:

- RTX 5060 Ti Zotac Twin Edge 16GB — $483
- RTX 5070 Inno3D Twin X2 12GB — $615
- RX 9070 Asus Prime OC 16GB — $695
- RX 9070 XT XFX Swift 16GB — $735

I'm also curious about good motherboard choices for this setup. What do you all think would be the best pick and why?

What kind of games do you plan on playing?

I mainly play Minecraft and some esports titles, but I plan to dive into AAA games once I build this new PC.

I think the 5070 gives decent value, but I would personally lean towards the 9070 XT. It’s just 6% more expensive than the regular 9070 but offers about 10% more performance overall. If you want higher frame rates for 1440p, it might be worth it. If hitting 60 fps is good for you, then stick with the 5070.

For the best value, I'd go with the RTX 5070! It's faster than the 5060 Ti and way cheaper than the 9070 XT. It’s solid for what you’re looking to do.

Thanks! Just to clarify, the RX 9070 is actually $695 here; the $615 option is the 5070.

If you want to future-proof your system, the 5070 is a great choice. It's solid for maintaining over 60 fps. The 5060 Ti does have more VRAM, but it lacks power for long-term use.

Your choice really depends on your usage. If you're focused on best bang for your buck, it would be worthwhile to discuss the price/performance ratio of all the components. What’s your main use case for the PC?

I want a balanced system. I’m upgrading from a 1080 Ti and I game, plus edit videos occasionally.
