I'm gearing up to build a new PC and I'm cleaning up my drives in the meantime. I just bought a new 500GB SSD for installing Windows 11. Currently, I have an existing SSD with Windows 10 on it, which is divided into two partitions: one for the OS and another for documents, though all my important files are safely backed up externally.
I want to know the best way to reformat and reconfigure this drive since I still need it until my new parts arrive. The current layout shows: 100MB EFI System > 243GB C Drive > 554MB Recovery Partition > 592GB D Drive > 117GB Unallocated. Can I fix and reformat this drive with the new setup?

When you start the Windows installation from the USB, you'll get to the disk management phase. During this step, you can delete all existing partitions on your SSD and set it up the way you prefer. Just be sure to back up anything you might still need!

Will it really be that straightforward? I mean, given how weird my current partition setup looks, I should still be able to combine everything into one big drive, right?
