I just built my first PC and I'm eager to start gaming, but I'm having trouble launching any games on Steam. When I hit 'play', it briefly shows the blue status like it's starting up, verifies cloud files, then it switches back to the green play button without any error message. I copied my old PC setup to this new one using an image backup and updated to Windows 11. Since it's a new system, I made sure all drivers are up-to-date. I've already tried restarting my PC, updating drivers, reinstalling games, verifying game files, running as an administrator, reinstalling Steam, clearing the download cache, shutting down Steam via the task manager, and disabling Windows Defender before trying to launch. I'm really frustrated with finding the same suggestions and can't figure out what to do next. Any advice?

It sounds like you've moved your Windows installation from an old machine to a completely new setup, which can definitely cause issues. I’d recommend doing a clean install of Windows. This way, you can avoid any leftover configurations from your old hardware that might conflict with the new system. You'll lose some settings, but you can back up your important files beforehand. It might be the best path forward if you're stuck.
Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove your GPU drivers? Sometimes remnants of old drivers can cause conflicts. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that walk you through the process, so it might be worth a shot to start fresh with the newest drivers.
What CPU and GPU are you running? Knowing your specs could help us troubleshoot this better.
I have a Ryzen 5 9600X and an RX 9070XT.

I understand wanting to keep everything, but a fresh install can really straighten out the issues you're facing. Plus, you can backup your files on an external drive or cloud storage before starting fresh. It's a bit of a hassle, but it often solves deep-rooted problems.
