I just installed the latest version of Mint Cinnamon, and everything appears way too small on my screen. I've been trying to get things to a comfortable viewing size—I've figured out how to make the menu icons larger, but that's about it. When I adjust the display settings, increasing the scale to 125% doesn't seem to help. Changing the resolution messes things up with black lines on the screen, and the layout gets all messed up. Even when I zoom in, some websites, like Instagram, still have mixed font sizes, making some text hard to read while other parts are too big. I really want everything to look more like it does on Windows. Why is it like this? I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed—any guidance would be appreciated!

Are you using an ultrawide monitor? It could be a factor in how things are appearing. If you can check your monitor's native resolution, that might help. Knowing the resolution can lead to better configurations.
Check out this guide [here](https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/first-mint-cinnamon.html#ID2.1). It might have some handy tips for resolving your display issues on Mint Cinnamon!
Cinnamon uses the classic X11 system, and it doesn’t play nice with fractional scaling. You might need to set the scaling to 150% or 200% to get things looking right. Those are typically the increments that work best without causing layout issues. Good luck!
Thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow!

Should be 1920x1200.
