I'm on the hunt for a reliable and secure Linux distribution that uses the KDE desktop environment for my home media PC. I'm hoping to avoid Ubuntu-based systems and am leaning towards Arch for its security features. I've had some frustrating experiences with Manjaro lately; it has glitches with Bluetooth connectivity, and it takes forever for my phone to connect when I plug it in. I truly appreciate the hard work developers put in, but I need something that functions smoothly and receives regular security updates, preferably not running on GNOME. Any recommendations?

Are you questioning Ubuntu's security or something? If you're looking for an alternative, I’d suggest Fedore since it offers spins, including options for KDE. Just a heads up, with Arch-based distros, you’ll be dealing with a more DIY approach, so check the Arch wiki for guidance. Generally, it works well if your hardware is supported!
I don’t mean to hate on Ubuntu, but if you’re designing malware, you’d target an OS with a larger user base to exploit. With fewer users, Arch could be a safer bet.
Have you considered Fedora Kinoite? It’s got atomic architecture and SELINUX support, plus it’s pretty close to bleeding edge while still ensuring packages are well-tested!
Appreciate the suggestion! I'll definitely look into it.
I really enjoy using KDE on EndeavourOS. I don’t use Bluetooth devices much, so I can’t comment on that, but it’s super easy to keep updated, plus KDE’s interface is stunning!
Totally agree with you on that!
Endeavour is definitely on my radar. How customizable is it? I’ve had some dark mode issues on Manjaro that make reading and writing documents a bit of a headache.

To be fair, Ubuntu has had its share of security issues recently, mainly from transitions like switching to rust-based utils.
