I was at a store buying a travel SIM when the clerk needed my IMEI number. I handed over my iPhone, but when he returned it, it looked like he might have pulled a cable out of it. If my phone was connected to his computer for about 30-60 seconds, what could possibly have happened during that time?

If he didn't know your passcode, then he could only charge your phone; no access to your stuff. The IMEI can easily be found in your phone's settings, so it's odd to hand over your device for that.

That makes sense. I didn’t have the screen in view the whole time, but I understand the passcode is needed to trust the computer. Now I'm not too worried.
