How to Reset a Windows 11 PC When BitLocker Code Is Required?

I messed up some BIOS settings while trying to tweak things for playing Valorant, and now my PC is asking for a BitLocker code that I don't have. When I go through the recovery options and try to reset my PC—whether I choose to keep my files or remove everything—it gives me an error saying 'there was a problem resetting your PC,' with only a cancel option available. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It sounds like you're having a tough time. One option is to reinstall Windows using a USB stick. It'll give you a fresh start. Just make sure you back up any data you might need beforehand—stuff can get lost in the process.

If you can still log into your Windows account, try that first. Either disable BitLocker or retrieve the recovery key before attempting the reset.

Just a heads up, the built-in factory reset often leads to issues like this. I’d recommend doing a clean install instead. About your BitLocker code, it should be linked to the Microsoft account you used when signing into the PC.
