I initially planned to buy a Ryzen 7 9700X, but it was out of stock, so I went for the Ryzen 9 7900X instead, which was in my budget. However, I came across some recommendations suggesting I should avoid pairing it with the 9 series. Is my setup going to cause issues, or is it safe to use?

Asus boards are pretty reliable, especially the TUF series. I think people are mixing it up with ASRock and issues related to the X3D CPUs. Your motherboard should handle the 7900X fine, though if you're mainly into gaming, you might find you overspent on the CPU for your needs.
You're totally fine! No need to worry about your motherboard choice. It's a solid setup. Those concerns you read probably just stem from misinformation. You're all good here!

Could you explain why you think the 7900X isn't worth it for gaming? Is the 7600X a better choice?
