Best Linux Distro for My Older Parents

I'm considering switching my parents' devices to Linux since their old PC and laptop are too slow for Windows 11. They are more familiar with Windows 7 and 10, so I'm looking for a Linux distribution that feels comfortable for them. I've thought about using Linux Mint, but I'm open to other suggestions that won't overwhelm them. Any recommendations?

Linux Mint is great, and the best part is you don't even need to use the command line if you don't want to. It's all about the GUI, making it super easy for them!

Linux Mint is a fantastic choice for beginners! It's user-friendly and has a familiar feel for those used to Windows. I've taught older folks in my computer class using Mint, and they seem to grasp it well.

Stick with Linux Mint, especially the Cinnamon version. It's designed for newcomers and should help your parents adjust without feeling lost.

Honestly, almost any Ubuntu-based distro would work well. Just pick one you feel comfortable with, and chances are your parents will mainly use it for browsing anyway.

If you're looking for alternatives, you might also try Lubuntu or Ubuntu MATE. They’re lightweight and intuitive, great for older hardware.
