Is my $3k gaming build a smart investment or a mistake?

Hey everyone, I'm really close to making a big purchase for a gaming build priced at $2915, especially since there are some awesome Black Friday sales at Microcenter. The RAM deal is great considering the current market, and there's also a fantastic bundle for the motherboard and CPU. My main focus will be gaming, particularly League of Legends and Overwatch, and I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card later as my needs grow. Before I hit that buy button, I want to make sure I'm not making any silly mistakes here. Also, I'm having trouble displaying a link to my build. Any tips?

$900 for RAM? Ouch! Are you still paying that price, or does the Microcenter deal bring it down? Personally, I’d wait for prices to drop a bit before committing. But if you believe it's worth it and you're financially comfortable, then go for it!

Totally agree! Waiting might save you some bucks, especially if RAM prices are expected to drop soon.

Looks like a solid build! Remember, though, that the AIO cooler you're considering is mostly for looks. The 7800X3D runs cool enough that a conventional tower cooler could save you some dough. Also, if you haven't chosen a monitor yet, check out the Alienware AW3225QF; it's often priced well at Microcenter and would complement your new setup nicely!

Honestly, it's wild when your RAM costs more than your GPU! But if you're thinking about spending big, consider whether you really need 64GB of RAM for gaming. A solid 32GB kit might be around $200-250, especially with the sales going on right now. That extra cash could go towards a better GPU, which might benefit you more in the long run.
