Why are some websites not loading after my BIOS update?

I updated my BIOS recently after receiving a warning while playing World of Warcraft. There was a critical update a few months back, so I thought it would be wise to proceed with this one as well. Since then, I've been experiencing issues where certain websites just won't load or take an unusually long time—like 10 minutes! Interestingly, it's not affecting my online gaming performance at all; for instance, I downloaded a 2GB game on Steam in under 30 seconds. I've tried several troubleshooting steps, such as updating all my drivers, switching between browsers, restarting my router, and even resetting the BIOS settings to their default. One suggestion was to disable IPv6, which improved things for some sites, but others like PayPal still refuse to load. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

You might want to check your Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) settings. Try running a command in Command Prompt: `ping google.com -f -l 1472`. If you see a message about packet fragmentation, lower that number down to 1400 or 1300 and keep trying. Once you find a number that works, add 28 to it for your proper MTU. Then, update your adapter settings accordingly! If reducing the MTU helps PayPal load, you'll have found the solution.

Another option is uninstalling and then reinstalling your graphics card drivers. Sometimes, the update can interfere with how different components interact, and a clean reinstall can resolve hidden issues.
