My 6900xt recently broke, and I'm in need of a new graphics card. I mostly play at 1080p and stick to basic games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. The 5070 is appealing, but the 9070 is around $60 to $100 more expensive. Is it worth spending the extra cash on the 9070, or should I just buy the 5070? I don't do a lot of video editing, and I find the Radeon software a bit cumbersome to deal with.

Honestly, if you're willing to wait, the 5070 Super is rumored to come out around late 2026 due to a current DRAM shortage. But by that time, the new RTX 60 series might change the game entirely. Just something to think about while you decide!
If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, I'd recommend going with the 5070. The performance difference between that and the 9070 is pretty minimal — maybe 3-5% more for around $100 extra. Plus, with 12GB of VRAM, the 5070 should serve you well for a long time, especially for 1080p gaming.
Thanks for the insight! Playing at 1080p means I probably won't need the extra power anyway.
Why wait? Life's too short for that! Just go for what you can get right now and enjoy gaming in the meantime. Waiting might just leave you hanging forever!
Haha, true! I could use more gaming time instead of waiting around.

That makes sense! I might not even notice the difference with my 5600x bottlenecking me.
