I'm curious if my current PC setup can run an RTX 5090 with 32GB of RAM. Here's my build: I'm using an Intel Core i9-11900K processor (5.3 GHz Turbo), paired with either an ASUS Prime Z590-P or MSI Z590-A Pro motherboard. My RAM is 32GB DDR4 at 3200MHz, and I've got an 850W power supply. For storage, I have a 500GB M.2 SSD, a 2TB hard drive, and a 1TB Samsung SSD. Currently, I have an RTX 3070. If this setup can't support a 5090, I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Your build can run the RTX 5090, but keep in mind that the Intel i9 and DDR4 memory might bottle neck its full potential. If you're not planning to upgrade to a newer CPU with DDR5, consider going for a 5070 Ti instead.

The RTX 5090 draws around 575W, which means you might need a stronger power supply. An 850W unit isn't sufficient; you should consider upgrading to at least a 1000W power supply to avoid any issues.

You'll definitely need to upgrade your PSU to at least 1000W for the RTX 5090. Don't forget to check your PC case for size compatibility, as these cards can be quite large!

You can operate an RTX 5090 if your power supply can handle it—just make sure to watch out for power spikes. If you're tight on budget, throttling your CPU’s turbo could make your current 850W PSU work, but I'd still suggest upgrading for better safety.

Yeah, better to play it safe and invest in a stronger PSU. You don’t want to risk damaging your components!

Totally agree! It's always better to have some extra headroom with your PSU.
