I have a HP Proliant DL380 Gen10 Server powered by two Xeon Gold 6138 processors, and it currently has 48 GB of RAM consisting of 6 modules of HMA81GR7AFR8N-VK T3 AC. I'm trying to add 2 additional modules of HMAA8GR7AJR4N-XN T4 AC, following the manual's guidelines for distribution. However, I keep getting two error messages indicating an unsupported DIMM configuration for Processor 2 DIMM slot 8, as well as a similar message for the new RAM on the other CPU. Can anyone explain why this new RAM isn't supported? The specs for the RAM are: HMA81GR7AFR8N-VK T3 AC is 8GB DDR4 RDIMM ECC 1Rx8, PC4-21300, CL19 1.2V, while HMAA8GR7AJR4N-XN T4 AC is 64GB DDR4 RDIMM ECC 2Rx4, PC4-25600 CL22 1.2V.

It sounds like you might be mixing up the DIMMs across channels, which can lead to compatibility issues with enterprise-grade systems. Even if both types of RAM are on the qualification list, mixing and matching them can still cause problems. Many enterprise servers, including yours, often require all memory modules in a channel to be the same to function properly. A good rule of thumb is to purchase exactly what you already have. If you're running out of space and need more RAM, consider replacing all DIMMs at once to ensure a uniform configuration, even though it could be more expensive.
