I'm planning to upgrade my CPU and am considering the i9 14900KF, but I've heard it might draw too much power for the VRMs on my ASUS PRIME B660M-KD4 motherboard, which could lead to performance issues. I'm looking for a compatible CPU that won't have these VRM problems. My main focus is gaming, and while budget isn't a huge concern, I want to make a smart choice. Any recommendations?

It really depends on what CPU you currently have. If you're using something like the i5 12400F, the i5 12600K would definitely be a solid upgrade. Just keep in mind that for gaming, the VRMs on your motherboard shouldn't be a significant issue with anything mid-range or higher from the 12th generation.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, the 12600K seems like a good fit.
