I'm looking to surprise my husband with a graphics card upgrade for Christmas. He currently uses a 2080 Ti and plays games like Battlefield 6 at 1080p and a variety of others like Baldur's Gate 3 and Dying Light at 1440p. I have the option to get him an RTX 5070 for $500 or a 9070 XT for $600. Is the extra $100 worth it for the 9070 XT?

The RX 9070 XT gives you the best bang for your buck right now. Your husband will be super happy with the upgrade!
If you want the best value, go for the 9070. It’s stronger and often priced just like the 5070. Plus, keep an eye on power requirements—make sure his PSU can handle it!
The 9070 XT is definitely the better choice, especially for gaming at 1440p. It’s significantly faster and comes with 16GB of VRAM, which is worth the extra cash.
Honestly, the performance leap at 1440p is substantial with the 9070 XT. If you can swing the extra $100, I think it's a solid investment for your husband’s gaming setup!

Good point! A solid PSU will make a big difference for stability when pushing those higher graphics settings.
