I recently purchased a MacBook Air from Best Buy about five days ago, but I accidentally threw away the packaging. I need to return it and I'm concerned that not having the original box or case will affect my refund. Does anyone know what options I have in this situation? I really want to avoid losing any money over this mistake.

When you say 'case,' do you mean the paper sleeve that it’s wrapped in? If that's what you mean, you should be okay if you still have the actual box and everything else inside. It's worth checking with the store, though!
If you tossed the packaging, that's definitely a tricky spot to be in. However, I don't remember Apple including a case with their MacBook Airs, unless that's changed recently. If the actual laptop is in good condition, you might still be in the clear!
Hey, what's actually wrong with the MacBook? If it's just the packaging missing, it might still be fine. But if there’s an issue with the laptop itself, that’s a different story.

No, I mean the actual Apple packaging that came with it.
