Hey everyone, I've been experiencing some frustrating micro stuttering while playing games like Delta Force, Arena Breakout, and Tarkov. I usually play on low-performance settings and get around 130-150 FPS, but recently my frame rate drops to about 4 FPS every time I move my mouse or character. The stutters last between 3 to 7 seconds, depending on how quickly I move the mouse or the number of particles on-screen. This issue just started occurring, and I haven't changed anything major in my setup.
I use AMD Adrenaline for optimizing my games, and I occasionally overclock my GPU for more frames, but I've reset everything to stock frequencies to see if that might help with the stuttering.
Here's what I've already tried to fix the problem:
1. Disabled USB root in Device Manager.
2. Adjusted power management settings to AMD Performance.
3. Rolled back my AMD drivers based on community advice since it might be a game issue.
4. Disabled color syncing and custom colors/temperature settings.
5. Changed various in-game settings.
6. Reinstalled graphics drivers.
I've found these fixes through research on forums and YouTube, but I'm still stuck and don't know if I should consider changing my PC. It's really frustrating since while my games run smoothly, the micro stutters are affecting my gaming experience. Also, I've noticed that the GPU usage drops during these stutters.
Here are my specs:
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600XT
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500

Have you checked your BIOS settings? Disabling Smart Access Memory (SAM) can sometimes help with performance issues, so make sure that's turned off for testing. It's worth giving it a shot if you're still facing issues.
I understand your frustration! Have you looked into whether your system is overheating? Sometimes, if the GPU gets too hot, it can throttle performance, causing stuttering. Make sure your cooling is adequate and the fans are running properly.
First off, try adjusting your mouse polling rate in the mouse software. Set it to either 500 Hz or 250 Hz and see if that helps reduce the stuttering when you're gaming. It might make a difference depending on your setup!

I actually tried that, but sadly it didn't resolve the stuttering for me.
