Is the Ryzen 5 7400 a Good Choice for a Budget PC Build?

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for my first PC build and I'm stuck on picking a CPU. I came across the Ryzen 5 7400 (the non-F version) but can't find much info about it, mostly just the F version. Do you think the 7400 is a decent choice for a budget build? I'm not looking for the best CPU out there—just something that can handle games like Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, and No Man's Sky without crashing and while looking decent.

The non-F version typically has less L3 cache compared to the F model, which might affect gaming performance slightly. It won't be terrible for gaming, but you might notice some differences, especially if you're running demanding games. For casual gaming and decent settings, it should be fine, just maybe not for the highest settings.

Got it! As long as it can handle decent graphics without crashing, I’m okay with that. Thanks for clarifying!

I actually saw a Ryzen 5 7400 non-F listed on a Swedish site called Inet. Personally, I've had a tough time finding it in other places. Also, the "F" means the CPU doesn't have integrated graphics, which is a factor to consider.

Oh nice! I didn't realize that about the 'F' version. Is it common for the non-F to be rare in general?
