Hey everyone! I'm a computer science student eager to dive into Linux, but I'm feeling overwhelmed about which distribution to choose for a solid start. I really want to learn how to use Linux and get comfortable with the command line. Any suggestions on which distro would be the best fit for a beginner like me?

As a newcomer myself, I can say you can't go wrong with options like Mint, Ubuntu, Zorin, Pop!_OS, or Fedora. A lot of folks recommend trying a few of these to see what you like best. If you're coming from Windows, Mint is particularly user-friendly, but feel free to test any of them out and switch if it doesn’t fit your style.
