Hey folks, I'm looking to add a second SSD to my HP Victus 16-r0028ca laptop, but I'm not super tech-savvy. I'm trying to figure out two main things: first, does my laptop actually have a second SSD slot? I've been trying to check the motherboard details on HP's site but can't find anything concrete. My motherboard model is HP 8BBE 77.52.
Second, if there is a second slot, I need some help understanding what type of SSD I can install. I've come across terms like M.2, NVMe, and PCIe, and I'm a bit confused about how these relate. Also, is there a specific size or generation I should be looking for? Plus, once I have the SSD installed, will it show up as a new drive letter (like D:) next to my existing C: drive, or will it merge with the C: drive? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You can definitely confirm if there's a second slot by just opening up the laptop. As for SSD types, M.2 NVMe and PCIe are actually the same thing, so you can look for M.2 drives that specify PCIe. Just make sure to check the size as well!
If you want help identifying the slot, there's a handy video here: [how to identify](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jNQNyxd1_a8).
Once you install the SSD, it'll appear as a separate drive! If it doesn’t show up right away, you might need to go to Disk Management to format it. Just left-click the start button to find it.
Thanks for the info! I read about Disk Management too. Do you know if I can set the new drive as the download location for my torrent client? It’s currently set to C:.

Thanks for the tip! I was unsure if I could distinguish between the SSD and memory slots when opening it. Seems like it might be my only option if I don't find the info here.
