Hey folks! I've been a Windows user for quite some time, but I'm ready to make the switch to Linux as my primary operating system because I'm really tired of Windows. After some research, I'm leaning toward Linux Mint since I've heard it's user-friendly. However, I stumbled upon Hyprland and was blown away by the cool setups, commonly referred to as "ricing." When I looked into it further, I realized that I need to have a good amount of knowledge beforehand. Now, I'm considering Garuda Linux since Hyprland seems to work better with Arch-based distros, but I'm still a bit lost on what I should focus on learning to create my own setups in Hyprland. As a complete newbie to Linux, any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend sticking with Linux Mint for now. Get comfortable with the basics before diving into something like Arch. Once you have a good grasp, you could try setting up Arch in a virtual machine. The Arch wiki is a treasure trove of information that can really help you learn.

That sounds like solid advice. Getting familiar with the basics is a wise move!
