Help! My M.2 SSD Isn’t Being Recognized

I recently purchased a second-hand Aorus Model S PC with a Ryzen 5900X and a GeForce 3080. The previous owner mentioned it only had one SSD, but when I opened it up, I found two SATA cables connected to something. After some tinkering in the BIOS, I was able to get the second SSD recognized by the system. However, when I checked the Gigabyte control center, it showed that an M.2 SSD is installed, but I can't format it or make any changes in the partition menu. Additionally, it doesn't show up in the NVMe section of the BIOS. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try re-seating the M.2 drive. Sometimes a loose connection can cause it not to be recognized properly. Make sure it's securely fitted in the slot!

Good idea! Also, if you're having trouble with drivers, make sure you're using the latest ones from AMD's site for SSDs. Sometimes those can be tricky.
