I'm considering an upgrade to an AM5 setup. Currently, I have a Ryzen 5 5600 and mainly play CS2 at 1440p with medium settings. I'm planning to pair my CPU with a 9070 non-XT graphics card. The cheapest option available to me is the 7600X for around $210. Since CS2 seems to benefit from X3D cache, the most affordable X3D CPU I can get is the 7500X3D at about $325, followed by the 7800X3D priced at $420. I'm leaning towards the 7500X3D to improve those low frame rates without spending too much. What are your thoughts?

Honestly, the 5600 should still give you fantastic FPS in CS2 as is. I'd suggest trying it out first to see if you're satisfied. If you feel you need a boost later, you can always upgrade then. As for choosing a new CPU, the 7500X3D seems like the best option. The additional cores of the 7800X3D won't really help in CS2, plus the 7500F or 7600 are solid choices if you're looking to save some cash.

Right? I'm also wondering if the difference between the 7500X3D and 7600X is significant enough to justify the extra cost for the X3D cache, especially since it might help with those low frame rates in CS2.
