Which PC upgrades should I focus on for graphic design and gaming?

I'm in a bit of a tricky situation with my PC upgrades. I mainly use my computer for graphic design, running multiple programs simultaneously like Adobe, Figma, Office, and a lot of browsers, so I definitely need more RAM. On the other hand, I also enjoy gaming with titles like Infinity Nikki, BG3, and Genshin Impact. I work with two Asus PA278QV 27" displays, usually turning off one when I game to make it simpler. I bought my pre-built PC in October 2020 and have since upgraded some components. The specs are:

- Motherboard: Asus PRIME B450M-A Micro ATX AM4 (original)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core (original)
- Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 (upgraded)
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 (upgraded)
- GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT (upgraded)
- PSU: Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold

I've figured that upgrading my CPU is essential, but that might mean getting a new motherboard too, which could lead to needing new RAM as well. It's overwhelming, and I could use some guidance!

Consider upgrading to a 5000 series CPU. The 5700X3D or 5800X3D would give you significant performance boosts for both gaming and graphic design. The good news is that you won't need a new motherboard, just a simple BIOS update. A 5600X would also be a nice upgrade if you're looking for a budget-friendly option. Definitely think about that!

I switched my 3600 for a 5700X3D a while back and it made a huge difference in both gaming and design tasks. Just keep in mind that these CPUs are getting hard to find, so you might have to look for used options. If the prices are close, I'd say go for the X3D version for even better performance, but a 5700X is a solid choice too!

Right on! I'll look into those options!
