Why is my newly built PC shutting off after moving it?

I recently built my first PC with my dad, ensuring I had a good power supply and compatible parts. It was working perfectly while I was installing games downstairs for about an hour. However, after moving it upstairs, it only stays on for a few minutes before shutting off. I'm wondering what might be causing this issue. I tried adjusting the GPU, and it was able to run for about 30 minutes, but then it crashed again, and the GPU felt extremely hot. Could overheating be the problem, and how can I ensure it stays cool?

What kind of GPU are you using? If it's older or second-hand, it could be running really hot. Make sure it has enough airflow around it. Consider adding extra fans or checking the thermal paste if you're comfortable. Keeping it cool is important to avoid these shutdowns.

Just a thought, but how are the power outlets where you moved it? If the outlet isn't providing stable power, that could also cause your PC to shut off. Make sure you're plugging it into a reliable outlet. If it is stable, keep an eye on that GPU temperature! It sounds like overheating might be a concern.

It sounds like a classic case of something getting loose during the move. Make sure to double-check all your cables, both inside the case and externally. Even a slightly loose connection can cause these shutdowns. If everything looks tight, consider resetting each component to rule out any connection issues.
