Will My CPU Hold Back My New GPU?

I'm considering getting an RX 9060 XT 16GB GPU, and I want to know if my current CPU, the i5-12500, will create a bottleneck. I also have 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, so I hope that helps! Cheers!

At 1440p, you’re good to go! But if you’re gaming at 1080p, just be cautious with CPU-heavy titles. Just don’t expect super high FPS.

Not really—your CPU shouldn't cause a significant bottleneck with that GPU.

I think you’ll be alright as long as you don’t aim for ultra high FPS. That RX 9060 XT is solid for 1440p, but it can be a bit sensitive to CPU bottlenecks at lower resolutions.

Nope, you should be fine! It'll handle most tasks without noticeable issues.

If you're mainly gaming, upgrading to an i5-14600k next year could be a good move, but you might not see a huge difference right away. Your current CPU should handle the RX 9060 XT pretty well for now.
