I'm trying to help someone download the latest version of PuTTY, but both official URLs I've tried — the chiark site and putty.software — are unresponsive. Chrome keeps showing an "err_timed_out" error. I've checked both links on my home network and a VPN to rule out any issues with my firewall, but neither site is loading. I've also tested it on different browsers like Waterfox and Epic with no success. Can anyone else confirm if they are experiencing the same issue? Thanks!

It works fine for me! Just a heads up though: there have been fake PuTTY sites out there with compromised versions. Stay cautious about what you download.
I can't access it either; seems to be down for me too.
I switched to using native SSH myself, but you can still find the site archived on Archive.org. Here’s the link: [Archive.org version](https://web.archive.org/web/20251007172045/https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html).
Dang. Completely forgot to try Archive.org! Thanks for the tip!
Strangely, it's loading just fine on my end! Maybe it's a regional issue?
Interesting! I wonder what's causing the difference.
Yup, not working for me either, so it's not just you.

Yeah, I only tried the official sites for that exact reason. Thanks for the reminder!
