I'm looking to transfer a 2TB SSD from my old laptop to a new one. I want to ensure that no data from the old laptop carries over; my main goal is to upgrade the storage space on my new laptop. Here are a few questions I have:
- Should I wipe the SSD before transferring it? If so, how do I go about doing that?
- Once it's wiped, can I just install it in the new laptop? I believe it's an M.2 SSD, so it should fit into the compatible slot.
- What happens to the drives in my new laptop after I do this?

You can handle the wiping before or after the SSD transfer. If you choose to wipe it beforehand, just boot from a Windows USB installer, delete all partitions during the initial setup phase, and then abort the installation. If you put it in the new laptop first, you can boot it up and use Disk Management to delete the partitions later.
So I can just install it without wiping and handle things later? Will the new laptop still boot up properly with two different Windows installations on it?
