Hey folks! I've been piecing together my new PC and finally grabbed most of the parts, but I held off on buying RAM because I was waiting for prices to go down. Now I'm looking at the G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-7200 for $180, which seems like the best deal right now. My setup includes the following components:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- GPU: XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Triple Fan 16GB
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120SE ARGB
- Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650E-E WIFI ATX
I'm wondering if this RAM will work well with my CPU and if I'll run into any issues with compatibility or stability.

You should definitely be fine with that RAM. You might need to tweak some settings in the BIOS for optimal speeds and timings, but G.SKILL is known for good stability. Just double-check that the RAM is the Hynix variety since it performs better. If you manage to adjust the timings right, you can expect improved performance, especially if you do some overclocking as well. Just keep an eye on the QVL for your motherboard to make sure everything checks out before buying!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look up the QVL to see what chips they recommend. Just to ask, do you think I should consider a different CPU for compatibility reasons, or is the 9800X3D solid with this setup?
