Troubleshooting a Black Screen After Upgrading CPU and GPU

Hey everyone! I need some help. My brother upgraded from a Ryzen 5600G with an Nvidia 1060 to a Ryzen 5800X with a 5060 Ti, using the same Asus Prime 550 Plus motherboard. The system powers on and indicates a signal, but all we get is a black screen. His power supply is solid too. I've tried a few things like removing the battery and reinstalling it, putting the old graphics card back in, swapping the RAM, and messing with the CMOS pins, but nothing seems to help. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Check if your motherboard has a diagnostic light. Also, see if the old CPU still works with the new GPU. And what wattage is your power supply? Knowing that might help as well.

Try booting the system without the RAM installed first. Once it fails to post, turn it off, put the RAM back in, and boot again. I've seen this method work with AM4 builds that struggle to post after a CPU change. If that doesn’t work, you can mix and match the new CPU with the old GPU and vice versa to pinpoint the issue.
