I've recently switched to Linux, specifically Mint, and I'm having trouble with my keyboard backlight. The keyboard shortcuts for lighting it up seem to work, but the keys themselves aren't lighting up at all. I started with the Bazzite distro but switched to Mint in hopes of fixing this issue, but it's still not working. My laptop model is an ASUS TUF GAMING A16 ADVANTAGE EDITION. I've scoured the internet for solutions, and this is my last resort. I'm open to trying different Linux distributions if it helps get the backlight working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a lit keyboard on my setup that sometimes won’t light up when I boot into Linux Mint. I just unplug it and plug it back in, and it usually works. Not sure what causes it, though, but it might be worth a shot!
It sounds like a driver issue might be the culprit. Have you checked if you have the correct drivers installed for your keyboard? Sometimes the default drivers don't fully support all hardware features, especially on Linux.

I've been through that process endlessly! Still no luck.
