I started my PC last night and noticed I don't have a WiFi connection. Instead, the diagnostic tool keeps telling me "the Ethernet cable is not connected," which is strange because I don't even use one! I'm looking for some help to resolve this. It sounds like your WiFi option might have disappeared from the connections screen. Do you have a physical switch on your computer to toggle WiFi? If you hit the Windows key + R and type in `ncpa.cpl`, you can check if it shows WiFi or just Ethernet in the Network Connections screen. If you only see Ethernet, that could mean your PC isn’t detecting the WiFi adapter. Try restarting your computer (RESTART, not just shutting down) and see if it comes back. You can also check Device Manager to see if your WiFi adapter shows up or has a warning symbol. Sometimes uninstalling non-working devices and restarting helps as well. If the adapter is broken, you might need to get a cheap USB WiFi adapter from a computer parts store.
Honestly, if there's no Ethernet cable plugged in, that’s probably all it’s notifying you about. There’s nothing to fix in that case. Just plug a cable in, and you should see a change.
