Hey everyone! So I recently did a thorough cleaning of my PC using an electric duster, and after that, my computer started shutting down on its own after about 5 minutes, showing a 'CPU over temperature error'. I let it cool down for 20 minutes and then checked the temperatures, and at idle, it was at a shocking 93-94 degrees Celsius. I may have used the duster too close to the hardware. I've tried cleaning it again from further away, but it hasn't helped much. I know that replacing thermal paste is an option, but I haven't built my own PC before, so I'm hoping for some easier fixes first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure the CPU fan is connected and is actually spinning when you power it on. Sometimes it can accidentally get unplugged during cleaning.
First off, check what type of cooling system you have—do you have an AIO cooler or just a heatsink? That might help narrow down the issue. If it’s an AIO, ensure the pump is properly plugged in and working.
It's possible your CPU could be overheating because it isn't throttling down as it should. Just to be safe, make sure you didn't disconnect any fans while cleaning. That can lead to overheating pretty quick!

Yeah, definitely check the pump. If it's not pumping water, that's a problem. Also, make sure the fans are all plugged in and spinning properly.
